For Your Own Good
These days I like highly spiritual or philosophical reads. But I got tired of them and was totally bogged down. Too much self-help can be an issue. So I took some time out of that journey to read this book. Or rather the audiobook; I have to admit I could not read this book; it has so much detail I would be lost because I am a manic reader, and this book you need to undoubtedly pay attention to. So the audiobook was good as I listened to it while I drove to work or when I wanted a pause from music.
The storyline of the book is on the nose. It is about rich people and their kids in a private school and how those wealthy parents control the school. Some parents are treated differently because they keep the lights on in school. The book opens up this world that everyone knows exists the world of the elite that think that money can save all problems. However, this vile and evil teacher proves that paying things off only leads to people being frustrated and committing heinous acts. This book is intriguing and suspenseful, although definitely something that has been done before; it is a bit cliche. It is pretty dark and a little psychotic. It’s basically about a person who seems to have good intentions, but good intentions can be backed by an evil agenda. This book explores the karma that what you do, you will receive. Loved it as an Audiobook, but as a book to physically read, not so much! But it was very suspenseful and exciting.
