My Skin: One thing I want to make clear before reviewing any skincare product is that I naturally have good skin. I don’t struggle with acne, significant scarring, or chronic breakouts.My biggest challenge is during the summer. I absolutely hate feeling like my face is covered in heavy moisturizer, especially once I start sweating. Products that are too rich make my skin feel greasy, my makeup starts sliding around, and everything ends up looking cakey. If you’re someone who prefers lightweight skincare that feels like you’re wearing almost nothing, we’re probably looking for the same thing.

First Impressions: I actually purchased this while visiting New York in a value set that included one full-size Water Cream along with several travel-size products. I paid around $75 USD, which made trying the brand much easier than purchasing everything individually.Out of every product in the set, The Water Cream was the clear winner.

What I Didn’t Love ✘ The price. Let’s be honest…Nearly $100 USD for a moisturizer is difficult to justify. Although I appreciate that the jar is refillable (which helps reduce waste), the cost is still quite high for an everyday moisturizer. I also wasn’t a huge fan of Tatcha’s purple line. Personally, it just wasn’t for me, and I don’t use the complete Tatcha skincare system.

Is It Worth It? For me…Yes. Would I recommend buying the entire Tatcha collection? Probably not. Would I recommend The Water Cream?Absolutely. It’s one of those luxury products that genuinely performs well and has earned a permanent place in my summer routine. 

Will I Repurchase? Yes. I’m also considering trying Tatcha’s sunscreen once I finish my current one because I’ve been so impressed with The Water Cream.

Final ThoughtsNot every expensive skincare product is worth the money—but this one surprised me.If your biggest skincare concern is heavy creams, oily skin during the summer, or makeup that won’t stay put, Tatcha The Water Cream is definitely worth adding to your wishlist.I don’t recommend products because they’re trendy. I recommend them because they actually work.
